If I could paint the world blue,

Here’s what I’d do.

I’d grab all of the sky, not on a gray, but a sunny day,

then throw it over my back into a tiny little sack, to be secretly stored away until you come back.

But take your time Riley, for I know we’re not through, ’cause we haven’t yet finished painting the world blue.

If I could paint the world blue,

You know what I’d do?

I’d pour all the oceans into a bottle,

hide it next to the sack that I’ve stored in the back.

And if we move it a bit, we could still make it fit, but just a little to the left of where you normally sit.

But take your time Riley, for I know we’re not through, ’cause we haven’t yet finished painting the world blue.

So, what else would I need to paint the world blue?

Oh yea, a big brush, and if not one, then two.

And if you could help,

I’m sure we’d be through, by the time we needed to.

But a painter I ain’t, so I’ll need lots of paint, so in the case that I waist, in all of my haste.

There’d still be time left for you, to help me finish painting the world blue.

Ok, a sack of blue sky, a bottle of blue ocean and now a bucket of blue paint, all hidden away in my secret place….

But there is still something missing…..a box with no sound…what sound has a box? A box with no cover, no handles or locks.

A box we believe that might help us conceive a plan to achieve this thing we believe.

That the world should be blue…Let’s not forget that, because that’s the whole point, as a matter of fact.

Now inside this box, I now know what belongs. A box with no sounds must be filled with a song. But what song should be sung?

That must be the thing. Which musician will play? Which singer will sing? To me there’s only one man.

But take your time Riley, for I know we’re not through, ’cause we haven’t yet finished painting the world blue.

B.B.King also known as Riley went home last weekend. Rest in peace, my friend!
