ETVAS MAG – THE EVENT MAGAZINE IS FINALLY READY TO DROP IN SUMMER 2022!

BE A PART OF THE EXPERIENCE!

.

ABOUT US

ETVAS Magazine is the brainchild of Brooklyn film director Aaron Allred, who was fascinated by the idea of a lifestyle magazine that can be read and „experienced“. Meaning – you can HEAR IT, SEE IT, TASTE IT or FEEL IT!

THE GOAL:

Create a canvas for some the world’s best freelance photographers, journalists, filmmakers, and „Innovative Creatives“;

Introduce the latest works of established artists from the film, music and fashion industries;

Building a huge, yet accessible ETVAS Mag social media community, that closes the bridge between Follower and Artist;

And then by opening Event spaces in 25 of the hottest cities in the world, ETVAS Magazine becomes a global vehicle for major companies to build a connection with their audience.

The idea began to take shape in 2014 when the first ETVAS Event Space was opened as a “Pop-up“ in Berlin and became a successful proof-of-concept period – take a look at our archives to find out how it all began!

Now it’s time for the first Issue to drop! The magazine will be published online, and a free, high-gloss printed edition will come out every 3 months – get yours at your favorite hang-out spot.

BALD AUCH AUF DEUTSCH!

The Transformation of Ms. Jacky Wruck

After winning Germany’s Next Top Model, Jacky Wruck suddenly became one of the most popular figures in the German Media and Social Media sphere. Her sweet, “Girl Next Door” charm not only became her trademark but also a big hindrance.
She has many other sides of herself that she would like to show but she is not often considered by Brands and Labels that are looking for a model with “Edge”. And she is completely overlooked by Casting and Film Directors that want a young, sexy, actress with “Bite”.
So in 2023, Jacky plans to make a change! ETVAS Mag follows her as she starts “The Transformation of Ms. Jacky Wruck”.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN (2014 – 2019)

„THE CLASSICS“:

So after 6 years, 4 months and 3 days; more than a million suggestions and „pieces of advice“, it was finally time to decide what would be the theme of the ETVAS MAG premiere issue. Two pieces of advice stood out among all the others. 1. Talk about things that you love or that bother you… 2. Write things that you’d want to be remembered by in case there is no second issue…..Easy…. Newton, Versace, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Chinese Food and GURU……“The Classics“.

HOMEY CHOW – ETVAS MAG’s LATE NITE POP-UP RESTAURANT

American Soulfood meets New York Chinatown:
Its the mid 1970’s…..On the 5th floor of a high-rise office building on Canal Street, in the middle of Chinatown, New York, there were two loft apartments. One was occupied by Jon Moressi, the famous photographer and the other was a mysterious office where on the door it said “Homey Chow- Private Detective”.
It was not really known what was went on inside, but when Mr. Moressi looked out his peephole at 5 in the morning he would see people like Andy Warhol, Miles Davis or Bruce Lee going into this mysterious Private Detective office….. And the smell that came out was a heavenly mix of Chinese dumplings, fried chicken and strangely enough, waffles……

Creative Director, Aaron Allred heard about this and couldn’t resist!

A month later the “Homey Chow” Pop-up Restaurant was re-created and opened its doors! Complete with Peking Duck and “Grits and Gravy”.

AROUND THE CHURCH

The Fashion Gods shine upon Berlin!

On Friday July 10 after the sun sets, ETVAS Magazine goes to the church. A 200 meter open-air catwalk will circle the Zionskirche in the heart of Berlin-Mitte, where some of Berlins most beautiful models, wearing some of the hottest designs from past, present and future, answer the question „Is Fashion Dead?“.

THE DIVE BAR

Wikipedia describes the “Dive Bar” as:
A small unglamorous, eclectic, old-style bar, with inexpensive drinks, which may feature dim lighting, shabby or dated decor, neon beer signs, and cash-only service.
Following the motto “Experience your magazine”, ETVAS MAG sent a team of researchers to New York City, Seoul, and Budapest to find the coolest Dive Bars. The other half of the challenge would be to bring this research back to our hub city Berlin and share this knowledge with our readers… CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
ETVAS MAG opened “The Dive Bar” – Pop-up in Berlin in 2015. We took a half-renovated shop in the middle of one of the swankiest streets in the heart of Berlin’s “Mitte” area and told the construction workers to immediately “Drop the hammers and drilling machines. And leave everything as it is!”.
Our experts, New York Bar expert Kerry Hoefler and Berlin Art Director Vivienne Loi, would then began the quest of creating the perfect “Dive Bar Experience” for our readers and followers.
Key Elements:
* All Cocktails and Longdrinks 5€ – “Free pour” – Which means that if the Bartenders liked you, they’d pour until their arms got tired
* Colorful but dim lighting, so that guests, and whatever they were doing, could not be recognized from outside
* The obligatory “Back Room” with a pool table and other games like “Adult Twister”
* Killer Music! That ranged from Punk to “Al Green”; Blues to “Elvis” – And the nightly, one-hour tribute to “Old-school Hip Hop”
“The Dive Bar Pop up” presented by ETVAS MAG became a must-visit for Berliners and will “Pop up” again soon on a street near you!

CATWALK UNDER THE SKIES OF BERLIN

The days of Berlin being known as the „Trashy Capital“ of Europe fashion are gone… Its official: Berlin is a “Fashion City”. And the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week-Berlin has become, almost single-handedly, responsible for this transformation. But limited size and seating capacity has meant that only a chosen few have been able to enjoy this peek into the Berlin fashion world. But this summer…

THE MAKING OF A GERMAN BAD BOY

The Creative Director had another one of his “ideas”. He wanted a „German Bad Boy“ for an upcoming editorial and film he’ll be directing next summer and I got the assignment to find this bad boy and set up the shoot….
